One of the most common reasons why some people hesitate going on the rv life is because of the lack of space a motorhome gives you.
And trust me, I get it!
It drives me crazy sometimes and I’ve had to get REAL creative with how I store our stuff.
Here’s the thing: although you might have to live a more minimalistic lifestyle in a rv camper, you can still live tidy and comfortably.
You just need the right rv products to help you make more space in your camper home!
So, let me share with you ways to make more room in your camper home!
So, we have the air skirts for our rv home when winter rolls around and they are MASSIVE.
They were taking up, at least, half the bunk bed area.
Well luckily, my husband found a solution to the problem, which was getting a hitch for our camper.
And seriously you guys, this hitch carries SO MUCH.
If you have children, it’s great for outdoor toys or honestly, even if you didn’t care to use the bags itself, you can use the hitch itself.
We’ve already traveled with this hitch on and have had no issues with it!
Let’s be for real: NO ONE wants a bunch of shoes in the way of their walking space.
Trust me, I have tripped over plenty of shoes throughout the rv camper.
So, a great solution is getting an over-the-door shoe storage, which this one I LOVE and have recommended it before in past blog posts.
I love that it holds large, thick shoes like hiking boots or my husband’s work boots and the pockets are SO deep that I never have shoes falling out.
Not only that, you can fit so many shoes in this shoe storage, it’s insane!
I mean we use totes for almost everything, from our rv hoses, our holiday décor, and any extra outdoor items.
Totes are just easy to work with, easy to stack, and are easy to store in the storage part of a camper.
Use them for any extra items you want to keep together and store them away.
It really is just that easy!
Hooks and command clips are a great way to keep items off the floor and are quite convenient when you need to grab something quickly.
I personally love to them for my kitchen mittens, towels, and as coat racks if they are strong enough to hold it.
Of course, there are also plenty of hooks out there that can fit your needs based off of weight, as well as plenty of different styles that will fit your camper’s aesthetic!
VIS’V Adhesive Hooks
These adhesive hooks are, not only chic, but high quality! You get them in a four pack and they come with extra adhesive strips which is really nice in case you decide to move these hooks somewhere else.
They hold up to 16lbs and of course, no drilling required!
Command Medium Wire Hooks
These are the ones I personally use, but you can get them in many different sizes!
Command Spring Clip
I love using the spring clips for my towels in the bathroom because, I can’t tell you, the amount of times my towel has fallen off the hook.
With these clips, it never happens anymore!
I personally love using storage bins for my bathroom products and for some snacks in our pantry, especially since I have cats that LOVE to get into things.
These storage bins have been great for travel and I’ve had them since I first went into rv living.
Not only are they pretty stylish for any type of camper, but it’s nice to have everything organized, so you aren’t frantically searching for things throughout your camper home.
Emphasis on the “adjustable” part, since every camper is different in layout and design.
Of course, adjustable shelves are the perfect way to make room in your rv and it’s nice to have ones you can change the width and height on.
I’ve had this shelf pretty much since I’ve started rv life as well and it’s been wonderful for us, even in travel!
Use if for extra space in your kitchen appliances, utensils, cleaning supplies, and wherever else you can use some more room in your rv home!
Recently, we bought our rv new couches and they don’t come with storage like most rv couches do since it was becoming IMPOSSIBLE to find any decent size couches with storage inside of them already.
So, I found these under couch storage and they have seriously been a blessing! Not only do they fit SO much stuff, but it’s made it WAY easier to organize and label stuff.
I seriously LOVE these.
They come with wheels, so you can just roll the storage out from under your couch or bed and of course, the wheels come off as well for easy stacking.
I mean, I was able to fit my entire winter wardrobe in one of these storages and ALL of our video games with plenty of extra room to spare.
I’m sure this would be a great purchase for people with children on the rv life, since they can easily store these under their beds or anywhere else in their rooms.
Of course, they come in different colors, but they are SUPER easy to put together and are a really nice, thick quality!
