Budget-Friendly Ways To Turn Your Rv Into A Luxury Camper

Just because you live in a camper doesn’t mean you can’t live in style!

Throughout our rv renovations, I’ve been sticking to the concept of turning our rv camper into a soft luxury aesthetic.

You might think that doing this might cost an arm and a leg, but actually, there are many budget-friendly ways you can turn your rv into a luxury camper!

The key is to find the right resources while still finding what fits your style!

I’ll be suggesting some ideas that we did in our rv home that helped bring out its uniqueness!

Therefore, let me suggest budget-friendly ways to turn your rv into a luxury camper!

Cabinet handles

Replacing the handles on your cabinets is actually quite affordable than you would think!

For example, I was able to get this 20-pack of cabinet handles for $70 AND I have enough to cover ALL the old handles in our rv.

Swapping out the cabinet handles is an easy way to transform your motorhome into a luxury camper.

Just make sure you have the right length from the hole size based off of your original cabinet handles and installing these bad boys is a breeze!

Asidrama Kitchen Cabinet Handles

Not only are these cabinet handles high-quality, but they come in a multiple variety of packs and colors to fit your aesthetic needs!

These cabinet handles also come with their own screws in two different lengths at your convenience!

Just make sure to measure the hole centers of your original handles and get the right size handles!

Painting your rv walls and cabinets

I already have the step-by-step guide on how to paint your rv walls and how to paint your rv cabinets in other blog posts, but I will say this: our camper looks way less like a camper and more homely!

Although the prep might take some work, it’s actually quite cost efficient to paint your walls and cabinets!

Not only that, but it’s a nice way to customize your rv to fit your aesthetic!

Whether you want your camper home to look like a luxury camper or have a different vibe to it, painting your walls and cabinets is a cost-efficient way to remodel your rv!

New curtains and rods

Putting in curtains and curtain rods is a new think that I’ve been trying out with our rv camper and honestly, I just LOVE how it ended up looking!

Our curtain rods are adjustable, so that was really nice considering the length of rv windows varies.

I got our curtain rods on Amazon, since I was looking for a particular color to match as closely to our cabinet handles as possible. Not only that, but they were a lot more budget-friendly this way!

When it comes to curtains in an rv, honestly, I would look more online as well.

Most curtains that you ever come across in stores are longer curtains made for living rooms and unless that’s really what you want to go with, you’ll be looking for more kitchen size curtains.

I just went on Amazon and was able to find curtains you can use in rv campers, but if you are really concerned with the length, just make sure you have the height of your windows and find what kind of curtains work for you!

Plus, looking online allowed me to find a wider variety as well!

Since these curtains are shorter than your average living room curtains, you won’t have to cough up an arm and a leg for the price of these type of curtains!

BONUS: If you really want to add some cute luxurious details to your camper home, try getting some curtain tiebacks for some added, customizable effect!

These rods were easy to install, great quality, and come at a pretty sweet price!

Guken 2-Panel Kitchen Curtains

Depending on your rv windows, you may like the shorter-styled curtains or you may prefer longer ones.

For us, we wanted to keep the curtains short, so we opt to do kitchen curtains, which are perfect for smaller rv windows!

These curtains are great for a neutral, farmhouse, luxury, rustic or even a boho styled rv camper!

2-Pack Snap-Fit Teddy Bear Tiebacks

These tiebacks recently became one of the cutest additions to our rv nursery room!

Whether you are in a home or a motorhome like us, these tiebacks can fit any nursery room!

Kitchen backsplash

Renovating your kitchen backsplash is a great and budget-friendly way to turn your rv home into a luxury camper!

I’ve already done a step-by-step guide on how we had turned out rv kitchen to looking luxurious that you can check out!

You can get all kinds of peel-and-stick backsplashes on Amazon and honestly, it really does make your rv kitchen feel more like a home!

Contact paper

This is another new rv renovation idea that we’ve been working on in our camper home and that’s using contact paper over certain parts of our camper.

For our camper, everything from the fireplace, the tv stand, and the cabinets were made out of contact paper.

Not only that, but unfortunately, there were many parts of our camper where the contact paper was peeling off from wear and tear, water damage, you named it.

Therefore, I made the decision to over different contact paper over our existing one.

To be honest, I was having little faith about this project, but quite honestly, it turned out pretty good!

The most challenging part was the shelving areas of the tv stand since we couldn’t fully unscrew our tv stand out.

The most important thing is to make sure you have the right tools, which I got from Amazon.

I also got the contact paper on Amazon because I could barely find ANY stores that carry contact paper nowadays!

Contact paper is as easy as peeling and sticking it on where you want it while also cutting it down and shaping it to your liking.

PRO TIP: I found that if you need to shape out any air bubbles, using a hairdryer and heating the area up for a minute or less helps you smooth those bubbles right out!

For example: we did contact paper over our fireplace and the tv stand in our spare bedroom. Although it does take a steady hand when it comes to working with contact paper, it’s been a nice luxury addition to our camper home!

Because quite honestly, I was SO over painting and just wanted to find an easier and more customizable solution!

If you are really shaky or don’t have a steady hand, then maybe contact paper might not be for you.

However, if you are really patience and love to work with your hands, you might love this type of rv remodeling!

Lativo White Wood Grain Peel And Stick Wallpaper

Not only does this wood grain wallpaper look realistic, but it’s as easy as peeling and sticking onto whatever you want to change up!

Just make sure to measure what it is you are covering and buy a little extra in measurements when you buy the contact paper, just in case you need to redo parts of whatever it is you are covering up!

Timeet Brick Peel And Stick Wallpaper

If you want to spruce a specific area of your home, this brick peel and stick wallpaper is the perfect addition!

It’s as easy as peeling and sticking it wherever you desire!

Use this tool kit to smooth out any bubbles and imperfections, whether that’s in your wallpaper, contact paper, or even vinyl tile!

Throw pillows

I mean honestly, having some cute, fancy throw pillows is a very easy way to create some luxury details in your camper.

I had recently gotten these oversize throw pillows from At Home and honestly love them.

And dare I say, even though throw pillows are usually used for décor and not function, I actually found these throw pillows quite comfortable!

You can also look online, but At Home had a LOT of variety when it comes to throw pillows and it really is just an easy and cost-efficient way to create a luxury vibe in your motorhome!
