Spooky season is right around the corner and you know what that means?
It’s time for the fun part of Halloween, which is decorating your rv home!
Decorating your motorhome is going to take some creativity, since you have limited space for Halloween décor, as well as having to find Halloween décor that’s travel-friendly (if you travel around in your rv camper like us).
We live in a 33ft travel trailer and for us, it can get pretty crowded if we aren’t careful with our space.
So, I had to get clever with our Halloween decorating ideas.
The idea was to have small Halloween items and hanging décor that you can easily store away for the next year (or toss out in one use).
Now that we got our décor set up, I want to share with you rv Halloween decorating ideas that you can apply to your own rv home that are easy on your wallet and doable for the spooky season!
After all, living in a camper home doesn’t have to stop you from having fun with decorations!
So, here are some budget-friendly rv Halloween decorating ideas for your rv!
These cute pumpkin lanterns are GREAT for hanging up in your home or even outside of your rv camper (such as along the awning).
We have our pumpkin lanterns hanging around our island and then we use strong tape to hold them down in the corners so that they can have this drape-like effect around our island.
Pro tip: buy two sets and wrap the string lights around each other for a fuller look like in the pictures!
Tin décor signs are a great way to add some spookiness to your camper home, as these signs are both indoor and outdoor friendly.
We have them hanging up inside our home, except for the trespassing sign. That one is outside of our camper.
Not only are these signs great quality, but are quite durable as well. You can nail them in your walls if you want, but they have hung up just fine with double-sided mounting tape.
After all, I personally don’t want to put holes into our camper!
These tin décor signs cater to all your Halloween needs, from a retro look to anyone with a sense of humor!
Retro Black Cat Coffee Tin Sign
Bring a little humor into your camper kitchen with this retro looking black cat sign!
Perfect for coffee lovers like me, who absolutely NEED their caffeine to get through the day!
Witch’s Kitchen Tin Sign
Want to brew up some witch-y vibes in the kitchen interior?
This witch’s kitchen sign can be a cute addition to your camper kitchen interior. The design of this sign is HIGH-DEFINITION and brings out the magic of Halloween!
Retro No Trespassing Tin Sign
Want to keep trespassers out of your rv camper?
This humorous trespassing sign just may do the trick!
My advice: mount it outside on your camper and see how many strange looks you can get!
Funny Goth Skull Sign
Keep it zen with this humorous Halloween bathroom decor sign!
Hang it up in your rv bathroom and release that build up tension!
These laminated poster frames are SO budget-friendly because you can get a pack of 12 for less than TEN dollars!
These really spruced up our rv home for Halloween and it’s just so easy to hang them up wherever you please!
I have ours ALL over our camper and it really makes you feel like you’re living in a haunted house!
Since these poster frames are laminated, the quality is quite nice and won’t get easily damaged.
These are just a really simple and easy Halloween décor idea!
In fact, I haven’t even found anything like these in stores, so get yourself a great deal NOW before they run out!
Pro tip: although these come with glue points, I highly recommend using double-sided mounting tape because the glue points they give you with the pack doesn’t hold the wall decals up very well!
Table runners are just a really easy way to decorate your table for Halloween!
I’m a cat mom, so I wanted my table runner to have the black cat theme and this is what I’ve found that matched well with our dinette.
Of course, find a table runner that will fit your Halloween aesthetics, but if you like the one that I have, then I will provide the link to the product for you down below!
This Halloween décor is my FAVORITE out of everything that I have bought.
I mean, come on…
Look out freaking CUTE these are!
Although these are ceramic, I personally will wrap them in some brown paper or newspaper before storing them back into my storage box. Since they’re small, they are easy to travel with!
I couldn’t help myself. They are just so darn CUTE.
50-Pack LR44 Cell Batteries
Sometimes, batteries in small items like the ghost decor can go out QUICKLY, especially if you leave them lit all the time.
Save yourself money by buying this 50-pack of LR44 cell batteries.
I have found that stores will sell even just ONE of these cell batteries for $6….
Yeah, I know, that’s a ripoff.
Just get this 50-pack for less than TEN BUCKS and save your money!
These are a pretty popular item when it comes to Halloween decorations.
Lightweight, high quality, and easy to travel with if you wrap it and store it away.
I placed these on our fireplace, but really, any space you have in your camper where these won’t get in the way will do wonders!
You can really add a witch-y vibe to your rv Halloween decorations with these cute décor bottles!
If you want a humorous decoration idea for your rv home, then this door cover can bring out a few laughs for the spooky season!
I thought this door cover was the perfect idea since we the door it’s on leads to our second bathroom.
It’s hilarious and amusing to anyone in the rv park who sees it.
I cut my door cover down to shape my door and taped it down on the edges which was held up pretty well so far!
Along with the hilarious door cover, I paired it with some caution tape and used the same tape on our main door.
After all, caution tape is a CLASSIC for any Halloween decorating ideas
You can easily get caution tape at any retail store; however, this one has a unique aesthetic where it’s spattered with blood and says “Haunted! Do not enter!”
Caution tape can EASILY be used around your camper or even the inside of your camper interior!
It’s just an easy, budget-friendly Halloween décor that can fit any rv camper!
Skeleton Restroom Door Cover
The Amazon link I’ve provided has a variety of different door covers, including the one that I have.
Now you can find the one that fits your Halloween aesthetic!
Caution Tape
Spice up your Halloween look with this eye-catching caution tape! Perfect for inside or outside your camper since it’s waterproof either way!
This link will have other different caution tapes that may also be to your liking, including the one that I have!
Choose the one you like and go crazy with it!
I figured this happy Halloween banner would look cute hung up on the slide portion of our camper interior, but really, you can hang this up on the wall, above your electric fireplace if your camper has one, or even outside of your camper.
I originally thought about hanging it up over our fireplace, but ended up getting something separate for the fireplace.
It’s pretty easy to put together and I just love to look at it and get into the Halloween spirit.
This realistic spider set comes in a 6-pack from giant to small sizes, so you can get creative with how you want to place them around your motorhome!
These spiders have really set the Halloween scene from the interior of our camper to even the outside of our motorhome! They may not look like it, but this spider set is actually storage friendly because the legs of the spiders are bendable and flexible!
So, you can set these up in any position you like!
I had a fun time sticking these to my doors, as well as on the sides of our camper!
Great quality and the price of this set is a STEAL!
Again, love me a black cat Halloween vibe, so I got this welcome cat mat.
It’s cute, retro-looking, and it goes with some of the black cat Halloween décor in my camper.
Sometimes, a simple Halloween mat can make a difference to your rv home!
Take advantage of all the windows in your camper home with these Halloween window clings!
I have them in almost ALL of my camper windows and it’s simply just an easy and budget-friendly way to decorate your camper for the Halloween spirit!
My advice for these is to take your time putting them on your window.
Because as you can see, I do have some air bubbles in mine due to my impatience.
Pro tip: use your card, like a credit card or gift card, to slowly flatten out those air bubbles in your window clings as you put them on.
I wish I would have done that myself, but unfortunately, I did not.
However, they still look great on my camper!
Bloody Handprint/Footprint Window Clings
Spatter your rv windows with these bloody window clings!
These window clings come in eight sheets for less than ten dollars, so you can create a gory effect on a budget!
Black Shadows Window Clings
Spook your neighbors with this black shadow window cling.
Great for a single window in your camper home!
This link comes in a variety of different window clings, including the one we have ourselves!
Cater your camper to your creepy liking!
Grey Body Window Cling
A universal window cling great for a small rv window!
Simple, easy to peel, and VERY budget-friendly!
Another budget-friendly and simple Halloween décor that you can hang on your door knob or onto the hook of your door!
We have this sign hanging on our second bathroom and I just thought it was a humorous sign that can add to the Halloween vibes of our motorhome.
Again, I’m a fellow cat mom.
So, when I ran across these black cat hanging lights, I just HAD to get them.
Ironically enough, these lights are hung up in our spare room, which is also called our “cat room”. It’s where any of our cat’s stuff gets stored, as well as other storage items.
So of course, I thought the irony was pretty cute.
If you are into the black cat theme like I am, then these hanging lights will be a good addition to your Halloween decorations!
Another popular Halloween item that you see people decorate with ALL the time on their homes.
You can apply the same idea with your camper home, HOWEVER, a word of advice.
If you can, use a ladder if your camper doesn’t already have one, and make it easier on yourself.
The pictures may look good, but we had to play baseball with the cobweb in order to get the web to hook and stretch on our camper slides. I do wish I got to cover more of our camper; however, it was really difficult to get the cobweb to stick onto our camper.
The edges of the camper will be a massive benefit for the cobweb to stick.
And depending on the size of your camper, you may not get ALL of your camper covered if that’s what you are going for, so be decerning of how many packs of cobweb you get.
Like I said before, the slides were the only parts of our camper where the cobweb worked out (without the use of a ladder).
These cobwebs are cool though, since they come with a pack of plastic spiders you can weave into the cobweb!
In all, use with caution and make sure the cobweb sticks so it doesn’t fly off and litter the rv park.
These creepy reaching hands are a great décor idea that you can mount on your wall or even on your table top!
I personally mounted them on our wall and they have held up quite nicely!
I love the durability of these décor items and the details on the hands, as they give off a realistic look!
These hand décors come with battery-operated candles, so no worries on having to find any separately!
You can even have these hands holding other Halloween décor items!
40-Pack LR41 Cell Batteries
If you decide to use the candles that come with the hands decor, then you’ll want some extra cell batteries to keep those candles lit!
Get yourself a great deal with this 40-pack LR41 cell batteries for less than $10!
Trust me, it’s way easier to get this great deal than the prices that other stores are offering you!
Want to make your neighbors uncomfortable?
These window covers just might do the trick!
These window covers came together in a 2-pack and for me, I bought ones that catered to the sizes of our windows and have mounted them up on our windows from the inside.
I’m not sure if this applies to all campers, but our blinds aren’t loose blinds and take a little bit of force to close them (kind of like a pulley).
So, these window covers held up just fine by our blinds, but I advise anyone who has looser blinds to either use tape or double-sided mounting tape to hang them up on your wall.
Again, an easy and budget-friendly Halloween décor for your camper home!
Plus, the thought of your neighbor looking over and seeing these window covers in your camper is just funny to me.
The link I’ve provided will include the pack of window covers I have, as well as a different variety in case you like the other ones better!
I got this mantle cover at a Spirit Halloween store, but you can find the same one on Amazon.
If you have any sort of electric fireplace in your camper, then this mantle cover can be a cute addition to your Halloween look!
I love that it comes with these battery-operated string lights. You can choose to either decorate your scarf cover with the string lights or keep them out since they aren’t woven into the scarf cover itself.
Personally, I bought the mantle cover for the string lights.
So, I decorated my mantle scarf cover with the string lights draped over it.
Pillow covers are an easy and budget-friendly way to decorate for the holidays, especially when living in an rv camper!
I chose these throw covers according to my camper aesthetic and love how the colors contrast with my furniture!
I also think they are just freaking ADORABLE and perfect for Halloween!
Outdoor Throw Pillows
If you’re like me and didn’t have throw pillows added into your camper home already, then buy yourself a GREAT deal with these outdoor throw pillows!
These pillows are 18×18 and come in a 4-pack.
And best of all, they are WATERPROOF, so if you want to decorate these throw pillows outside of your camper, then you can!
