Things To Do In Sedona, Arizona

Back in 2022, I took my husband on a trip to Sedona, Arizona for his birthday before we got married! I had heard a bunch of people that I follow online go there due to Sedona, Arizona being a popular spiritual space!

Since we were both interested in the woo-woo, esoteric stuff, I figured this would be a cool place to check off on our bucket list!

Nowadays, I’m seeing more and more people wanting to make Sedona their next travel destination.

It’s really become a popular place for tourism and it’s growing more each year!

As I’m seeing Sedona’s popularity skyrocket, it’s encouraged me to write about my own experience in Sedona and share all the things you can do in Sedona!

And just maybe, this will inspire you to add Sedona to your travel bucket list!

Therefore, here are things to do in Sedona, Arizona!

Hike up the vortexes

Ok, ok let me explain.

Sedona has been a popular place where the center of “spiritual vortexes” is located, as well as UFO sightings!

It’s been said that these vortexes are the places that energy is condensed and stored the most which is why you may see people going to these to meditate, do yoga, or go there for just the vibes.

Apparently, people like to come to these spaces to put their manifestations out there because it was said to believe that your manifestations will quickly come true!

We also found a lot of rock climbers around these areas, so if you are a rock climber yourself, you may want to give these spots a try!

The biggest advice I recommend is to have some proper hiking shoes because these red rocks can get slippery. I also recommend not wearing white unless you want to have a bunch of red dust sticking to you!

Trust me, you will get very messy on your hikes!

I found that hiking around these areas gave us the opportunity to meet other hikers and allowed us to see some really cool views (as well as take some really cool pictures)!

Also, please make sure you have plenty of water with you because the heat in Arizona is no joke!

Visit crystal shops

Sedona is the crystal mania of Arizona!

To be honest, I have traveled to A LOT of crystals stores and Sedona, by far, has some of the largest crystals I have found.

In fact, my husband got this huge tower crystal that’s quite heavy, yet has this beautiful, deep blue color to it.

I mean, I’m talking rare crystals, tower crystals, even crystal furniture!

Even if you aren’t “spiritual”, the crystals you find in Sedona are literally home décor worthy!

See some psychics

Honestly, I have never seen so many psychics in one area as I did when I was in Sedona.

I’ve went to a few psychics out of curiosity and I will say, some of them were “meh”, but then there was one in particular that was extremely talented, accurate, and looking back it, was pretty spot.

Now, I like to tell people that when it comes to psychics, it’s best to go into it with an open mind and an open heart.

I remember one particular psychic store that even had aura readings where you would sit in front of some camera and they could read your aura off a computer which was honestly really cool and really interesting!

I’ve never seen a place that did that before!

So, if you are REALLY into the woo-woo, esoteric stuff, you’re REALLY going to the psychic shops in Sedona!

Explore the downtown area

Besides a wide variety of esoteric stores around, there’s plenty to do in Sedona like souvenir shops, wine tasting, tours, and other places to explore.

You can even go stargazing in their jeep tours, which we didn’t go do while we were there; however, next time we go there we want to!

I remember at one point seeing performers in the street, so if you going to places that are eventful, you’ll probably find something to do downtown.

You have to remember that Sedona is a HUGE art scene as well, so you’ll probably run across some artists, singers, and other creative people in the streets.

In fact, there was a guy who had literal pet snakes in a box and he allowed people to hold them and take pictures.

Probably something you never thought you would run across, but it sure made our trip to Sedona an interesting experience!

Have dinner with a view

Sedona is such a beautiful place to have dinner with a view.

In most restaurants, you are almost guaranteed to have some spectacular view of the red rocks, especially when you get to see them at just the right lighting!

I took my husband to a restaurant called Mesa Grill that was actually walking distance from our Airbnb and when we got there, oh wow was it busy!

It was probably best to make reservations, but somehow, we got really lucky and managed to get seating with an awesome view!

Just be prepared to have a long wait if you are going to one of the nicer restaurants in Arizona because you may face a long waiting period, unless you get lucky like we did.

This was where my husband tried swordfish for the first time which apparently, tasted like a steak, so if you want to have that type of experience, check out Mesa Grill in Sedona!
