Replacing the dinette booth cushions wasn’t really what I had planned in mind, but my oldest cat had an “accident” on the cushions due to being mad at me for having to wear a medical suit (due to her allergies and overgrooming).

The cushion absolutely reeked and I knew it was beyond saving. There was no way that any amount of deep-cleaning was going to save that cushion.

And honestly, I really didn’t want to deal with the headache.

So, instead of being bummed about it, I made a plan to make the cushions part of our rv renovations. I figured I minus well make the best out of the situation!

After looking online on Amazon for ideas, the only luck I was seeing were either black, brown, or tan colored, leather cushions.

Pretty much, none that stood out to me.

Eventually, I came across a company that does custom made cushions at a pretty good price!

This company offered a wide variety of customization from the color to the fabric. In fact, they offer around a HUNDRED different colors, which was great since you get to really cater to what the color theme is in your rv remodel plans.

They also offer six different materials, so if you are one of those people who does like the old-fashion leather, then you are able to still do so!

Personally, I stuck with a softer, cloth fabric because I have cats and sometimes, their nails dig into everything!

For my fabric of the cushions, I did the cross-stitch since I figured the details of the cushions would help make the dinette booth a little chicer, like I did with the kitchen backsplash.

I chose the color grey, which turned out to be a little lighter than I was expecting, yet I found that the color had match really well with our kitchen and the kitchen appliances, especially since the kitchen area is literally right there.

Anti-slip Bottom

What I loved MOST about these cushions was having the choice to have an anti-slip bottom to it. I can’t tell you HOW many times our cushions would keep sliding around, making it REAL annoying to fix every time.

And we tried command strips with our old cushions, yet, it didn’t help the cushions from sliding off.

This company gives you the choice of wanting any anti-slip bottom to it, which makes it way less of a hassle to figure something out yourself!

Piping design

Now, if you REALLY love attention to detail, you can also choose your own piping design, which personally for me, I just chose the single piping design.

This may matter to you, this may not; however, they do give you examples on what each piping design would look like.

Thickness

Of course, thickness is important considering that’s literally where you’ll be seating yourself and they offer seven kinds of thickness to your cushion!

Now, I chose the third thickest choice which is 3.15 inches and honestly, I feel like I could have chosen to go thicker.

However, I also had to keep in mind that the material was a little different than my old cushions. This was more of our flat, memory foam material and I’m not sure how much of a difference it would have made with another inch.

Regardless, they say they offer a three year after sales guarantee for their sponges, so maybe I’ll think about upgrading in the future.

In all, I’ve been sitting on these cushions for quite a few weeks now and I haven’t felt uncomfortable or anything like that, so I feel like I’ll be fine personally, but you do what works best for your back!
